Federal Workers Use Spoon Emoji to Protest Against Pressure to Resign

In videoconferences and online chats, federal workers used spoon emojis to protest against the “Fork in the Road” email campaign pressuring them to resign.

Workers in Technology Transformation Services at the General Services Administration posted a flood of spoon emojis in one videoconference. GSA subsequently removed the emoji from its conferencing platform.

Some federal workers have added a spoon emoji to their Slack chat status.
