Federal Websites about COVID Replaced and Signed Removed

Donald Trump’s regime began removing COVID-related signs from federal properties and replaced COVID-related government websites with a White House page promoting allegations against China and other targets of the Republican dominated Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic.

The COVID.gov and COVIDTests.gov websites, which used to provide health information and access to tests and treatments for COVID, were operated by the Department of Health and Human Services. They are now redirected to a White House web page.

The page alleges that the SARS-CoV-2 virus originated in a Chinese laboratory rather than zoonotic crossover from wild animals to humans. It attacks former officials at the National Institutes of Health such as Dr. Anthony Fauci and political officials such as Democratic former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.

Federal websites continued to direct people to the old web addresses for information about getting COVID tests. The page to which they are now redirected has no useful information about getting tests. If they went to CDC web pages for guidance, those were not up to date.
