Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook Declared Second Home Properly

| 0

A mortgage loan estimate for Federal Reserve Board member Lisa Cook shows that she declared her second house as a vacation home, contrary to accusations used by Donald Trump tp justify his attempt to fire her.

Trump can only fire governors of the Federal Reserve for cause. He is grasping to find cause in order to get rid of the first black woman to serve on the Federal Reserve Board.

Bill Pulte, the Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, claimed she falsely declared both her home and the second house as a primary residence, which would have gotten a better interest rate on the mortgage and could have gotten a break on property taxes for the second house.

Lisa Cook did not do that. Pulte’s father and stepmother did. The Michigan town where they own their second home has revoked their homeowner’s property tax discount there and billed them for back taxes.

Cook also properly declared the house in Atlanta as a “second home” on SF-86 paperwork to obtain the security clearance she needed to take up her post at the Federal Reserve.
