DOJ Targets State/Local Officials Who Do Not Cooperate with Mass Roundups

The Department of Justice ordered federal prosecutors to pursue state and local officials who do not cooperate with the administration’s planned mass roundups for deportation.

The directive emphasizes targeting officials in “sanctuary” jurisdictions, and goes as far as calling for potential criminal charges against officials.

President Trump has said in a public interview that he expects some citizens to be deported along with immigrants who are not citizens. When some of a family are citizens and some are not, he remarked that he will deport them all together.
