DOGE Closing IRS Offices and 120 Taxpayer Assistance Centers

Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency, which is a subset of a White House IT team rather than a department, announced it is closing many Internal Revenue Service offices and 120 Taxpayer Assistance Centers.
