DJT Plans to Revoke Legal Status of 240,000 Ukrainian Refugees

Donald Trump plans to revoke the status of 240,000 Ukrainian refugees, clearing the way to deport them to the war zone they fled due to Russia’s invasion.

The plan is part of larger intentions to revoke the legal status of 1.8 million people who are in the USA for humanitarian reasons, feeding Trump’s mass deportations. Ukrainians were targeted before Trump and J.D. Vance verbally assaulted Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in front of reporters at the Oval Office.

Most of the 5.2 million Ukrainian refugees scattered around the world are in EU countries. Foreign affairs journalist Olga Nesterova noted that those who are in the USA “had to be completely financially independent, pay tax, pay all fees (around $2K) and have an affidavit from an American person to even come here.”

Shortly after taking office 20 January 2025, Trump suspended the United for Ukraine program that allowed Ukrainians into the USA for up to two years with permission to work and have health insurance.
