DJT Pardons Anti-Choice Activists Before March for Life

Donald Trump pardoned ten people serving time in prison for violating the 1994 Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act during the blockade and invasion of a clinic in the Washington DC area in 2020.

These pardons came shortly before the annual March for Life scheduled for 24 January 2025.

The law was passed to protect clinics which perform abortions against threats and obstruction after the 1993 murder of Dr. David Gunn as well as escalating patterns of blockades and protests at clinics offering reproductive health services for women.

The pardons were issued for Lauren Hand, Jonathan Darnel, Jay Smith, John Hinshaw, William Goodman, Joan Bell, Paulette Harlow, Jean Marshall, Heather Idoni and Herb Geraghty
