DJT Orders Military to Plan for Reclaiming Panama Canal

Donald Trump ordered the military to plan options for his goal of “reclaiming” the Panama Canal.

This includes the possibility of invading and taking the Canal by force. Trump’s goal is ostensibly to reduce China’s influence over the Canal.

Panama and China both refute Trump’s claims of China’s influence there. Fees charged for ships to traverse the Canal are the mainstay of Panama’s economy.
