DJT Orders Immediate High Clearances Before Background Checks

Donald Trump signed an executive order to grant immediate interim high level clearance to Presidential appointees as he chooses without waiting for background checks.

These are Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearances allowing access to classified material, facilities and technology. The order says these interim clearances are for up to six months. Standard FBI background investigations are expected to be done during that time.
