Donald Trump sent email to fire Hampton Dellinger, head of the Office of the Special Counsel.
OSC is a federal watchdog. It deals with possible violations of the Hatch Act, a law that prohibits federal employees from partisan election activities. It also deals with allegations of government wrongdoing by whistleblowers and shields them from retribution.
