DJT Announces 30% Tariffs on EU and Mexico
Donald Trump announced tariffs of 30% in imports from the European Union and Mexico, starting 1 August 2025.
The EU and Mexico are among Trump’s favorite targets. He says he will increase the tariffs if they retaliate.
On 12 April after yet another backpedal on tariffs, he promised to make 90 trade deals in 90 days. He has made partial trade deals only with the United Kingdom and Vietnam.
