Daily Beast Publishes Then Deletes Article About KGB Recruiting DJT in the 1980s

The Daily Beast published, then deleted, an article saying former Kazakh intelligence chief Alnur Mussayev claimed the KGB recruited Donald Trump in 1987 and gave him the code name Krasnov.

He said the file on Trump has been removed from the FSB (successor to the KGB) and is now directly managed by a close associate of Russia’s Vladimir Putin.

The article stayed on the Daily Beast website long enough to be copied by archive.org (the internet wayback site) and picked up by other media outlets, but was deleted the day after it was released.
