Costco Raising Hourly Pay

Costco, which faced a deadline for a strike by the Teamster union, announced it is increasing pay rates for most of its hourly workers. Most of the upper tier will get more than $30/hour.

The union said 85% of its members working at Costco voted to authorize a strike. A collective agreement was reached, averting the strike.

Costco is under fire from 19 state Attorneys General for keeping its diversity, equity and inclusion policies.
