98% of Goldman Sachs Shareholders Vote to Keep Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Policies

| 0

Two proposals for Goldman Sachs aimed at undercutting or eliminating diversity, equity and inclusion policies were each rejected by 98% of shareholders.

At least one of the proposals was from the right wing National Center for Public Policy Research, calling for a review of legal and reputational risks associated with the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion policies. NCPPR is prominent among groups that have been pushing such proposals at the shareholders’ meetings of multiple large corporations such as Apple and John Deere. The other proposal sought to end diversity, equity and inclusion-based compensation incentives for executives.
