Musk’s xAI Product Grok Gets $200 million Deal with Department of Defense
Elon Musk’s company xAI signed at $200 million deal for use of its Grok software by the Department of Defense, even though days ago Grok declared itself MechaHitler, praised Adolf Hitler, advocated extermination of Jews and gave people details about how to get away with committing rape.
DOD will get the latest version of Grok, custom tools for national security, and technical support for use with classified material.
There is no sign that the contract might indicate thawing of hostilities between Musk and Donald Trump.
The DOD is awarding similar contracts at the same cost to Anthropic, Google and OpenAI.
