Judge Issues Temporary Restraining Order Lifting OMB’s Funding Freeze

District Judge Loren AliKhan issued a temporary restraining order which prohibits the Office of Management and Budget from implementing its directive to freeze most federal grants, loans and funding streams.

The restraining order is for two days to prevent major disruptions while legal proceedings against the directive continue. It was issued in response to a lawsuit filed by a coalition of nonprofits, public health organizations and small businesses.
