India Fires Missiles into Pakistan in Retaliation for Attack in Kashmir

India fired missiles into Pakistani territory in retaliation for a 22 April 2025 attack by gunmen at a resort in Kashmir.

India said the missiles fired from 01:05 to 01:30 Wednesday local time aimed at locations believed to be terrorist hideouts and infrastructure. They were at Muzaffarabad, Kotli, Rawalakot, Chakswari, Bhimber, Neelum Valley, Jhelum, and Chakwal in a Pakistan-occupied region and Bahawalpur inside Pakistan.

Normally the USA would have stepped in after the attack in Kashmir to attempt a diplomatic resolution to the situation and prevent outright war between these two nuclear-armed countries. The USA does not appear to have done anything of the sort this time.
