Hundreds of Students at Military Base Schools Protest DJT’s Anti-Diversity Policies

| 0

Hundreds of children in military families walked out of Department of Defense schools around the world in protest against Donald Trump’s campaign against diversity.

Schools affected included about a dozen at military bases in Europe and Asia and at least one in the USA. It is the largest coordinated action children of active duty military have done since Trump was inaugurated. Walkouts on a smaller scale happened in February and March.

The student were protesting against book bans, changes to curriculum and limits on extracurricular activities spawned by Trump’s anti-diversity policies.

Defense officials and school principals had warned students that participating in walkouts could be punished as unexcused absences and result in detention or restrictions on participation in sports.

The students walked out anyway.
