Department of Health and Human Services job cuts announced last week began today, with some workers finding out they were fired only when they arrived for work.
Some layoff notices went out by email Monday night 31 March 2025 or early 1 April 2025. But some workers showed up 1 April at the Food and Drug Administration, and only found out they were fired when either their badges did not work to let them enter their office building or when they were pulled out of the line of people swiping in by security officers.
