Green Card Holder Detained with No Explanation

Lewelyn Dixon, who immigrated from the Philippines 50 years ago, holds a green card and has no known blots in her record, was detained 2 March 2025 while returning to Seattle from a family visit.

Dixon has held a job with the State of Washington which required a clean background check. Although green card holders can be deported for cause, three weeks after taking her into custody Immigration and Customs Enforcement has not given any reason for her detention.
