DJT Refuses to Pay Legal Fees for Failed Lawsuit in UK

Donald Trump refused to pay £290,000 (about $360,000) in fees he incurred for a lawsuit he filed that was thrown out in February 2024.

The suit was against Orbis Business Intelligence over allegations in a dossier written by co-founder Christopher Steele, including some about links between Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia.

Trump claims he has “sovereign immunity” as a head of state from enforcement action to collect the fees for his private lawsuit.
