Dept of Education Offers Up To $25,000 to Employees to Leave Quickly
The Department of Education emailed a “one-time offer” to most employees, with a payout of the lesser of $25,000 or severance if they resign by 23:59 Monday ahead of a large Reduction In Force (mass firing).
Donald Trump and Elon Musk are seeking to dismantle the department entirely, although only Congress can legally do so.
