Department of Education Tries to Get Columbia University’s Accreditation Removed

The Department of Education sent to Middle States Commission on Higher Education, the independent government-recognized accreditor of Columbia University, accusations that the university violated federal anti-discrimination laws.

Accreditation affects eligibiilty for federal student loans and grants such as Pell grants.

After Donald Trump’s regime cancelled $400 million in federal grants and contracts to the university, Columbia capitulated.

That was not enough. With this escalation, it is unclear what further concessions Trump wants from the university now.
