Bondi Fires At Least 20 Involved in Jack Smith’s Investigations

Attorney General Pam Bondi fired at least 20 Department of Justice employees who assisted former special counsel Jack Smith’s criminal probes of the 6 January 2021 assault on the Capitol or the classified documents kept by Donald Trump at his Mar-a-Lago resort after his first term in office.

Some of the fired workers were prosecutors, but others were only support workers, litigation assistants or U.S. Marshals. Most prosecutors with any involvement in the probes had already been fired earlier in Bondi’s purge.
