Appeals Court Rejects DJT Attempt to Overturn Verdict Against Him in E. Jean Carroll Case

The 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals declined Donald Trump’s request to have the case against him by E. Jean Carroll reheard by the full court, leaving the verdict by a three-judge panel against him in place.

In December 2024 the panel upheld a 2023 jury verdict against Trump, which ordered him to pay $5 million in damaged to Carroll liable for sexual assault and defamation.

Trump’s last resort is now the Supreme Court, which is not obligated to take up the case if he appeals to it.
