Another Judge Blocks DJT from Banning Transgender People from the Military
Federal District Court Judge Benjamin Settle issued a ruling, effective nationwide, blocking Donald Trump’s executive order that would ban transgender people from serving in the military.
Settle said the regime did not explain why transgender troops should abruptly be banned after four years of being allowed to serve openly, apparently with no problems. He wrote:
The government’s arguments are not persuasive, and it is not an especially close question on this record. The government’s unrelenting reliance on deference to military judgment is unjustified in the absence of any evidence supporting “the military’s” new judgment reflected in the Military Ban.
His injunction is the second against the executive order within two weeks.
